A rare antique Mansfield patent glazed chimney pot. Dating to around 1898, this unusual Victorian pot has twin skirted ventilation to maximise the airflow through the pot interior. Salt glazed and very heavy - it has a hand scored flared base to give the mortar flaunching the best possible hold on this substantial piece. We’re not sure whether there was a ‘top’ to this unusual piece but it is nonetheless a usable chimney pot and appears to be in general good condition.
