A faded-beauty with a distinctive window, impressive iron hinges and substantial latchwork make this old green external diamond-glazed plank and ledge pine door a fine piece.
Comprising four heavy pine planks with substantial ledges (rear braces) the front features three raised strengthening fillets. This raised and ribbed feature extends around the diamond window aperture and keeps the hinge straps captive. There is a sizeable kick-strip / weatherboard to the bottom edge with some damage. The current dimpled glazing is fractured.
This was an inward opening door with a decorative thumb-latch, letterplate with integral swing-knocker plus a rim/box lock and a 'Yale' style night latch.
Thickness of the door is 3cm, the ledges (rear braces) are 3cm thick and the ribbing to the face is 1.5m thick.Want to know more? - use the Sales Enquiry tab
