Magnificent Vintage Milled Cast iron Engineering Table

Its rare that we find one of these magnificent engineering tables and even rarer when they're in almost perfect condition!  Unbelievably, the entire upper table is a single casting of solid steel. The top has been painstakingly milled to a perfectly flat finish that, together with the four cast legs bolted to the underside, weighs a proverbial ton!

Once upon a time such tables were an integral part of every metal engineering business. The precision surface would provide the perfect platform on which fine measurements could be taken and some fine fabrication would occur.

There is a single drill-tip mark (see photos) and the main body and legs have been cleaned and blacked.
