Large Antique Round Mill or Grit Stone with Sloped Face

A fine example of a large agricultural or industrial mill stone. Typically a grinding mill consisted of two stones, a patterned 'bed stone' below and a smooth faced (often sloped shoulder) 'runner stone' on top.

This now retired mill stone has a lovely aged surface, a warm colour and a fine collection of moss!
