Old Pet Cemetery Hand-Carved Headstone Grave Markers

Unusual and rare, these old pet cemetery hand-carved headstone grave markers are beguiling and haunting in equal measure.  Identified with a single name, age and date of passing - they are a reminder of the special place that pets have in our hearts. The larger stone is marked ‘Strelka - died Nov 16 1900 - aged 13 years’ and the letters ‘M.S.R.’ lower down the face. The smaller stone is marked ‘Vi - died Sepbr 19th 1889 - aged 3 years’. There is wear and tear to both stones commensurate with age. These would make an intriguing feature set into a flagstone floor or old cottage wall - or perhaps provide a moment of reflection in a garden setting.
