Pair of Huge Old Salvaged Hand Carved Oak Corbels
Code: W0319B001
SOLD
An impressive pair of huge old salvaged hand carved oak corbels. Magnificently chiseled from solid historic oak with stylized rosettes, leaf and scroll work. Possibly Tudor in date, these originally supported a large oak bressumer beam which we also have - but which is plain with no carving (can be purchased separately). The impressive workmanship , quality and size of these fine pieces would make a significant contribution to any historic renovation. One of the corbels has a crack through the scroll end (see photo). A clean split that could be pegged and secured and is not likely detrimental to the use or re-purposing of these fine pieces.
Currently black painted and timeworn with some chips to the detailing - architectural elements like these are extremely rare and sought after by architects, interior designers and architectural historians.
Price shown is for the pair - not to be sold separately.
