Pair of Reclaimed Cast Iron Dated Rainwater Hoppers

Reputedly from the bank at Kington in the county of Herefordshire, this fine pair of reclaimed cast iron dated rainwater hoppers bear the wording ‘Gregson’s Patent Bolton’, the date 1893 and a decorative stylised fleur-de-lys motif below. Part of a late Victorian Gutter system, the remnants of green paint and classic styling make these an impressive duo that could be re-used as hoppers or re-purposed as wall hung planters. Please note one of the hoppers is missing a fixing lug.
