"Provence" Hall Table

A beautifully well-constructed oak top on an original Bradford and Co. sewing machine base.

The cast iron base was covered in thick black gloss paint from its previous owner. We arranged for the base to be shot-blasted for this project, stripping it back to the naked metalwork. This was then buffed with graphite paste for the classy matt finish.

The name Provence is taken from the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint used for the watered-down finish on the oak top. A very stylish piece, particularly with the unusually shaped sewing machine base sides - reminding us of an 'art nouveau' look.
