Rare Joseph Lucas 'Birdcage' Automotive Vehicle Inspection Extension lamp

This multi-featured early/mid 20th century work-lamp is a wonder of British Engineering - it looks amazing and is beautifully made.

The perforated metal bulb cage houses a small lamp and an integral hook. The lower articulated handle doubles as another hook and rotates to unwind/wind the encased electric extension cable. We're not sure whether this was a 240v two-pin domestic connector or an early 12v car-type connector - possibly the former?

A gorgeous and rare vintage industrial lamp that is sold as a display piece only. It could possibly be converted into a micro LED reading light for the study or hobby room.
