Characterful Period English Solid Oak Plank Door #25

An antique handmade English oak plank door with so much character. There are remanants of its original wood finger-latch (albeit with a later improvised iron latch), wood cased lock and blacksmith-made iron strap hinges. With a stunning and authentic timeworn appearance, the boards have a single handcut bead to the face and to the rear four substantial wide ledges are held with iron nails. The heavily worn lower and leading edge together with the nibbled timbers only add to the sublime charm of this fine agricultural door.
