Large Handmade Wrought Iron Field Gate with Original Twin Posts in Hand Carved Stone Blocks

This is rare...an original period field or driveway gate from a former vicarage in Ross on Wye in Herefordshire. Complete with its hinge and catch posts each set in its original hand carved stone base.

As befits an ecclesiastical residence, the quality of the workmanship and materials is first-class. Blacksmith made from wrought iron that has been worked and hand riveted - with a curved heel design, twin diagonal braces and a spring latch.

A lovely authentic set that would bring instant charm to a driveway, garden, courtyard or paddock.

Please Note: One horizontal bar is detached at one end (see photos) and the gate or post may require work to the upper hinge prior to installation.
