Set of Four Salvaged Cast Iron Round Top Glazed Windows with Openers
Code: W10A061
SOLD
Probably from a late Victorian school, office, shop or public building - this set of four salvaged cast iron round top glazed windows with openers are a great find. The fine casting suggests they were not from an industrial or factory building whilst the small openers were unlikely to have served in a domestic capacity. The rounded semi-circular tops are Victorian in style, the openers pivot centrally and all move freely. The frame lugs have mostly been cut and there are three boken (smaller) panes, one cracked and the lower row of panes in one window are stippled glass (see photos). There are no visible frame breaks.
For their age - these windows are in very good condition and they would look superb installed in an orangery, atrium or perhaps hung as part of an interior design for a shop or cafe...
Please note, cast iron can be relatively fragile to transport - please call to discuss collection or delivery options.
