Salvaged British Melotte Cast Iron Milk Separator or Creamer

More than 100 years ago this creamer was state of the art - a hand cranked machine used twice a day after milking to produce cream for the kitchen tables of Great Britain and the world. At one time there were more than a quarter of a million in use with a reputation for quality and reliability.

This separator is now sadly incomplete - but parts and donor machines can still be found at reasonable prices.

Alternatively this fine old device with its original embossed manufacturers plates could be converted into a number of quirky retro design pieces. Maybe a fabulous drinks stand by adding a plate glass top and a cool ice bucket to the large ring below!

Painted in the traditional 'Melotte Red' it would make a stunning feature...
