Salvaged Iron Green Painted Safe with Divider, Drawers and Key

A striking decorative vintage safe or strongbox finished in the most delicious green colour with a large brass octagonal handle, ornate key, internal divider and drawers.

On the outside the safe has a lovely repeat pattern of raised scalloped frames. The door to the front is divided into four recessed panels each with a beveled edge and one piece of the pattern. There is a brass escutcheon with flip-cover and a large octagonal brass pull handle. The door is hinged on the right side. The substantial key has a wonderful design reminiscent of a Greek wave pattern. The lock works and the door opens and closes cleanly and smoothly.

Inside is a cream-coloured removable steel divider. The leading edge of this plate has an attractive Artemis-bow pattern and cut-out pull handle. Below this there are two slide-out metal drawers, each with twin brass rounded knobs and a key lock. Sadly the key for these is missing but they are unlocked.

This locking safe, in it's perfect period green finish, is a real find and an ideal storage solution for a shop, retail premises, the home or home office.
