Based on the look of period linen-fold panelling, this salvaged oak bar front or reception counter comprises an old oak top rail and a slightly later (likely 20th century) oak panel with four decorative insets based on a Tudor design. The two pieces are a good match for colour and finish with the panel having mitred beading around each inset and a single (possibly faux) peg between. They’re both currently screwed to a composite backing board showing how they might be combined in this manner - but may have other uses either singularly or together. The top rail measures 19cm deep and 13cm high. The overall height is listed below.
