A reclaimed Herefordshire farmyard limestone  staddle stone. Entirely hand carved and featuring unusual markings - whether intentional or accidental? These mushroom shaped plinths were a common sight on most period farms where barns and grain stores would be built on top of these substantial stones allowing air to circulate beneath whilst keeping the vermin out.
