Large Victorian Airer, Airing Rack or Pot Hanger from a Fine Herefordshire House
Code: W701-1021
Qty Available: 1
Reminiscent of the hey-days of Downton Abbey - this traditional Victorian(?) wood ceiling hung airer or pot hanger is stately to say the least.
Salvaged from a fine Herfordshire House, it's capable of accommodating numerous heavy damp sheets, blankets and linens whilst they dried. The bearers are almost 6ft across and each one has been stop-chamfered (rounded edges that 'stop' short of the ends) so items can be pulled from it without snagging. The two main rails holding the bearers are also chamfered for draping items in between.
This is a quality handmade rack that has pegged mortice and tenon joints throughout and four heavy gauge hanging chains.
Please note: we can not specify the load bearing capacity of this rack. Please check and test any installation and loading thoroughly before use.
