An example of 1950s Esavian alloy and ply stacking chairs. The shaped alloy frames with their elegant raked rear legs have acquired a wonderful vintage patina . The honey coloured steam-bent plywood seat and backrest are riveted into place and are quite comfortable. The stacking function of these chairs makes them a practical and space saving solution, ideal for the home, shop, coffee shop or restaurant. Most of the paint remains though there is some de-lamination of the ply and marking / discolouration. An evocative piece of nostalgia, full of vintage charm that has stood the test of time.
Note: Chairs such as these often come from both educational and public venues - please check the suitability of the style and seat height before purchase.
