Originally a backsplash to a Victorian wash basin - this wonderfully ornate reclaimed oval cartouche cast-iron surround would make a fabulous setting for a grand mirror. Alternatively it could be dressed with an oil painting or vintage fabric to create a beautiful wall display or dressing for a fireplace.

Currently in a lovely aged condition - it could be painted, stove-blacked and polished or powder-coated in any one of a hundred colours.

Upper oval opening: 30.5cm(W) x 35.5cm(H)

Lower rectangular opening: 43.5cm(W) x 14cm(H)

Item marked: 'BIC AM' and 'N817D Regd 248485' to the reverse.
