An authentic early 20th century cast iron agricultural implement seat with a lovely 'Napoleon Hat' shape and radial piercings. The seat is marked 'HXT' to the reverse.
In many ways a simple design of seat yet its curves, flared profile and raised pommel make it attractive to the collectors, enthusiasts and interior designers alike.
The slots and holes allow air to circulate and rainwater to drain off keeping the driver dry and comfortable for the many hours spent on the machine. Usually mounted on a spring (or sprung) arm and padded with a straw-stuffed sack!
