A Beautiful Pair of Handmade Masonic Arched Oak Doors

This stunning pair of entrance doors with a flat arch profile, gunstock stiles and dentil or ‘toothed’ detailing were rumoured to have originally graced a masonic lodge. The quality of the workmanship and pegged construction make this a fine set, even if the joints have opened a little and there’s a wee ‘mousehole’ in the lower panel! There are suspicions that these doors could be much older with some Jacobean influence.

These could be sent back to the joinery shop and made perfect, installed as they are for a beautifully aged feature in a barn or chapel conversion – or maybe used as a wedding photo prop!
