SOLD
A fine pair of reclaimed red clay Dennis Ruabon chimney pots with a distinctive partial spiral groove pattern just below the rim. In the late 19th century large deposits of high quality Etruria marl clay were discovered in Ruabon in Wales. Henry Dennis established the ‘Red Works’ where ridge tiles, chimney pots and ornamental terracotta were made. The tapered pot has a rounded rim and a deep set single bead collar. Both pots are in good condition. They might also serve as decorative planters in the garden.
