Pair of Salvaged 2.6 Metre Sandstone Pillars or Columns

…and the award for best supporting role goes to…a wonderful pair of solid sandstone pillars or columns standing 2.6 metres high. The gently tapered cylindrical bodies have a square base and capitol with raised ribbed detailing. A fine pair of porch, entrance or architectural feature supports that have some cosmetic scars but nothing that, in our opinion, detracts from the spender of this vintage set of columns. A column is generally intended to be load bearing whereas a pillar is often a decorative element within a build. We regret we’re unable to advise as to the load bearing capabilities of these pillars, if this is critical to their installation please seek the advice of a structural engineer.

The tops are 41cm square.
