Part of the industrial landscape of Britain - this classic early 20th century four wheel porters trolley would have been a popular sight on station platforms, in markets and warehouses. Capable of carrying all manner of loads, the cart can be pivoted on the large centre wheels allowing it to be manoeuvred and steered with ease whilst the smaller sprung wheels help support the load.
The bed is made of oak boards whilst the (possibly later) ends are clad in pine. There is a small split to the steel tube chassis (see photos).
Ideal for mobile retail displays or filled with plump cushions as ad-hoc or bohemian seating.
