Magnificent Vintage Solid Copper and Stainless English Electric Signs

Magnificent vintage solid copper 'English Electric' signs from the vast generator hall of a decommisioned power station. Iconic and beautifully made, these heavy, substantial signs are decorated with capital stainless steel letters, each one around 10 inches high and individually fixed with screws from the rear.

There are four fixing holes through each face and both signs have a partial metal frame that includes end pieces but sadly only a single long strip for either the lower or upper edge - this should provide a pattern to have a matching piece fabricated. A little verdi-gris on the signs confirms their composition and whether they are cleaned and polished to a gleaming copper finish or left dark and aged will be your choice.
