Salvaged Heavy Cast Iron Lion Mask Garden Bench

A wonderfully tactile and impressive piece of industrial art - this salvaged heavy cast iron lion mask garden bench with its formidable lattice and scroll pattern ends is one of the most substantial (i.e. heavy!) benches we’ve had. The makers name ‘B & B Foundry Nottingham’ is cast into both ends. The lions head arm rests together with the elegant and embellished front legs give this park bench a Victorian or Colonial feel. The wood slats are not original but are sound and nicely weathered. There is slight lateral movement which is likely due to a few loose slat bolts. One of the rear base plates has a corner missing (see photos). PLEASE NOTE: these benches are extremely heavy and require a multiple persons or machinery to lift.
