Original Klaxon Ltd. Motor Horn, Circa 1910–1920

A quintessential piece of Edwardian automotive history. This authentic Klaxon Ltd. warning signal is not merely a display piece; it is a robust, survivor-grade instrument that remains in excellent working order. Known famously as the "Ahooga" horn, this unit represents the pinnacle of early 20th-century road safety and mechanical engineering.

This particular horn carries a wonderful, honest patina that only a century of existence can bestow. The original black enamel finish shows the expected historic wear, revealing glimpses of the heavy-gauge steel and brass construction beneath. It hasn't been over-restored or "shined up," preserving the rugged aesthetic preferred by serious collectors of automobilia and architectural salvage.

This is a fully functional hand driven unit. The internal diaphragm still produces that unmistakable, sonorous "Klaxon" blast—crisp, authoritative, and surprisingly loud.
