1950s London Oil Corporation twin handle can

There’s truthfully little to tell about this lone canister other than it is embossed with the texts “ Sole Property of London Oil Corporation Ltd Containing their Products Only”. We know the London Oil Corp was in existence and prospering throughout 1938 and the can is of a welded metal construction with a galvanized or similar plated finish, twin pivoting handles and, sadly, no stopper or lid.

A great display piece or for collectors of petroliana or motoring memorabilia.
