Antique Pierced Cast Iron Brown and Blue Albion Tractor Seat
Code: W701-1043
Qty Available: 1
An authentic early 20th Century iron tractor seat bearing the name 'Albion', the number 4239 and the town 'Leigh, England'. The stylish radiating pierced pattern kept the operator's derrière dry whilst the dished shape and raised pommel kept them firmly seated over ploughed and uneven ground. Generally referred to as 'tractor' seats, they were also found on 'ride-on' implements such as threshers and potato drills.
These seats are now highly collectable and this particular seat has been refinished in a rich brown colour with blue detailing. A nice example that will appeal to the collector and enthusiast alike. Often converted into garden swings and kitchen stools or displayed with dramatic lighting.
